Dear Friends and Partners,
Greetings in Jesus’ Matchless Name. With great joy we want to give you the report of our 2017 mission trip.
As usual, we hardly know where to begin and what to say for so much happens on these ministry trips. Some of our neighbors ask how our vacation went and we laugh for it is all work and no play when we go. This for us is a serious matter and we go with your
We also want to say thank you for your support financially and for you prayer support. My wife and I realized we had much prayer support and we did not have to carry the prayer load like we have done before. We really felt the prayer of God’s people and the strength of the Lord was upon us so we say a great big thank you to all of you. You made our work much easier.
We were in Colombia for 41 days and we were busy from start to finish. We ministered in 18 churches as a team (Jennifer our daughter was with us). We had some days between meetings and we ministered to individuals and marriages as well. Our time is always productive for there are many needs and a lot of hungry people. Actually, we had a marriage seminar for one day and that was a challenge for me. I have never attempted that before and I am not qualified for that, but many gave testimony of being helped so praise the Lord for that.
Our meetings started with a minister’s prayer breakfast and there were over 50 Pastors in attendance. We ministered on the Dynamic of the Holy Spirit necessary for the church and for our ministries. There was a lot of personal ministry for the Pastors and their wives. It was a great time in the Lord.
We are guess-ta-mating (new word) that we had well over 300 saved and close to 500-600 filled with the Holy Spirit. We try to keep record of that, but it is difficult to do in big crowds. This once again is from team results. So many responded to the infilling of the Spirit of God and as you give the call they are speaking in tongues as they come even before we instruct them and pray for them. It is such a delight to see them get empowered by the Holy Spirit.
In one meeting we had about six little boys who did not have saved mothers or fathers and these kids get filled with the Spirit of God and they were so precious. I think they adopted me as their father and it was such an exciting thing to see.
Where healing is concerned only God knows all that was done but we have some testimonies that we know about. There was one lady who was healed in both shoulders of a rotary cuff problem as result of a word of knowledge we gave in a service. Another was healed of GERD. There was one lady whose two middle fingers were frozen in a closed position that was healed while we were preaching and she came and gave witness to her healing. Then a little boy who had a speech impediment was healed and we had him say the Korean word for baby pronounced “aggie” in English and he spoke clearly. Another was healed of a bladder problem and the list goes on.
I can hardly wait until we are all in heaven and we get the accurate report of all that was done. I am sure we will be surprised and greatly blessed. Colombia’s 2017 campaign slogan, “Not By Power, Nor By Might, But By My Spirit,“ was a success thanks to the Lord and you our great partners. I wish I could sit down with you all and tell you the many things that happened so I hope this report helps you see what you have done for His Kingdom. God Bless you abundantly!
His For Souls,
Kenneth & Marlene Hughes & Jennifer Good
